E Books
The library has received a grant to offer E-Books through the Oklahoma Virtual Library. Services will begin Feb 28, 2013.
There are several free sources of E-Books available online. E-Books from Project Gutenberg and Audio Books from LibriVox can be found in our library online catalog. If you login to your account you will be directly linked from our catalog to the download file.
Free E Books Online
Inkmesh is a search engine that searches over 30 online sources for free ebooks. You can search by title or author.
Project Gutenberg, the original site for tree text online, offers more than 33,000 free books that play nicely with any ereader platform. You'll find mostly classics and public-domain works. No registration is required, and the site is easy to use. A nice feature is their "bookshelves"--collections grouped by topic.
Baen Books, publisher of science fiction and fantasy, offers a number of their titles as free downloads.
eBookFling offers users the chance to swap ebooks for free with other readers nationwide while still retaining ownership. For every five books listed to loan out, users get one "credit" toward borrowing.
